A recent PriceWaterhouseCoopers survey of Pharma CEOs identified the following three core areas which companies believe are critical to address in order to spur growth in 2010 and beyond;

1 – Patients’ needs must be addressed directly: 73% believe consumers will play a more active role in new product development.

How will your company gather these insights in a cost effective manner?

2 – Boards increase focus on compliance and strategy:  63% report that their Board of Directors are more intensely addressing regulatory initiatives due to the recent financial crisis.  Almost 75% report their Board is more closely involved in strategy development which is significantly higher than industry average.

How will the right business intelligence be provided to the Board in a timely manner, without overwhelming them with unnecessary detail, so they can help, but not hinder your operations?

3 – Skill shortages are on most CEO’s radar:  60% of Pharma CEOs are somewhat or extremely concerned about the availability of key skills.  As Pharma and Life Science companies depend on innovation to drive growth, this is not surprising.  Recruiting and retaining the right resources and ensuring their intellectual contributions can be shared across the organization where they are needed most, will help teams operate cross-functionally to act as growth and innovation incubators.

How can companies promote this without diluting their talent pool or overworking key staff?

Micro Endeavors can provide these answers and much more.  We’ve already developed systems for Life Science companies that address these very issues.  Utilizing our deep industry and technical expertise, we have custom developed SharePoint portals and .NET applications that provide web-based actionable business intelligence to the right players at the right time; so critical decisions can be made quickly and accurately.  We’ve helped our clients track information through knowledge management tools that make adhering to compliance regulations a less overwhelming process.  And through our strong ties to the technical community, we have provided hundreds of highly qualified consultants to augment any in-house deficiencies through our robust, Philadelphia based IT Staffing Division.  By combining high caliber resources with our collaborative systems, the value of contributions to and from your staff will increase exponentially.
