Building a Business Intelligence Infrastructure to Enable Rapid Data Management and Analysis

The Challenge

In order to aggregate disparate data feeds into actionable business intelligence and reporting, Micro Endeavors was retained to design systems to manage, clean, and analyze a multitude of data feeds.   This data was delivered to the client from various third party vendors and suppliers, including plasma shippers, patient care management, distribution and sales partners.   The data was structured in flat files pushed from third-party databases.   The data received was often missing foreign keys related to multiple entities or violated known business rules.   This caused many inefficiencies and worse yet had the potential to incorrectly influence outcomes as associated decisions were potentially based on unreliable data.  As their business was rapidly scaling, these issues posed immediate threats to multiple areas of the company’s operations, and if not addressed and resolved as quickly as possible, they could put the entire company in danger of compliance, legal, or other major problems.
